Filmmaker, creative director and photographer, Rollo Jackson is a prolific documentarian of underground culture – immersed in the synergetic realms of fashion, sport, nightlife and dance.
Rollo’s charged EA Sports spot, starring the Bellingham brothers, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Max Verstappen, landed to widespread praise. His collaborations with Palace, for whom he’s shot ads, content, stills and a documentary for, showcase his multifaceted talents. A further example of his 360 capabilities are shown in his ongoing creative direction, photography and film work for Overmono, who Rollo most recently worked with on their upcoming album ‘Pure Devotion’.
Beyond sports-centric spots for adidas, Supreme, Aries, Evisu, Reebok, Nike and JD Sports – Rollo’s directed Apple and Virgin Media commercials, and promos for Danny Brown, The Streets, James Blake, Jamie XX and Pa Salieu. This is alongside shooting stills for the likes of Luncheon Magazine, GQ, Patrón, Salomon, Aries, No Problemo and Le Specs.
Earlier in his career, Rollo crafted cult-hit documentaries ‘Tape Crackers’ and ‘Slimzee’s Going on Terrible’ – both deep dive into London’s rich dance music history.
In 2024 Rollo also released ‘Step In Time’, a book charting the untold story of one of London’s biggest rave promoters, told entirely through VHS stills and flyer archive.
